Hmm, that's an interesting one. I would go crazy and say the majority of the council. Yeah, you can look at me like that but it's true. I'm supposed to be the Mayor of Nox... you know, the one the people put in charge and I have these clowns looking over everything I do. Why does it matter to them if everything I do is right... it's all opinion at the end of the day.
If you had the choice to save a person's life, but in return yours ends; would you do it?
Haha, wow, that is a loaded question. As if. There is a little thing called a survival instinct and you don't get anywhere without it. You fight for yourself first off and then everyone else. How do you think I managed to get to this particular place with barely any experience under my belt? My confidence is what people rely on. Nothing more, nothing less.
What did you get up to last night?
Feeling a little jealous, are we? If you must know there was an amazing night out that happened last evening... but don't worry, not many people were invited so don't feel left out too much. Though you did miss a good time.
Have you ever been in love? If not, do you want to be?
Aw, sweetie, you honestly still believe in love. That's cute. Some people say there is a difference between the citizens and you know what I say? Bullshit. The whole lot of it. Everyone will stab someone else in the back as soon as they get an opportunity so if you ask me, love can go jump off a cliff because in the end you are looking out for yourself. I can't stress that enough. Naturally, as my position of mayor, I can change certain things but I can't run your life for you. I can only provide the atmosphere for you. So no, no love for me and it can stay that way indeed.
I hear you have quite a history. Care to share?
I do have a history. Do I think you are good enough to hear it? Probably not but I enjoy talking about it so let's give it a try, shall we. Okay, well, I was born in Nox to the two best parents a child could wish to have. I am pure blooded so both my parents were shades though I was always taught to respect all the species in an equal manner. It was never an issue to me what people were because I knew that they were all capable of change... the title of your species was irrelevant. I could see the crap that some individuals did under the view of them being part of the 'light' brigade and it honestly made me realise that everyone out there is there for one thing. Themselves. Of course, I saw that no-one was willing to admit that so I kept my thoughts to myself growing up... just carefully observing.
However, I was quickly making contacts through the many people my father knew already. I had always been a confident child so speaking to these imposing characters was hardly a problem and guess what, they loved me. I found myself being invited to the premier business meetings, and those times where peace was slowly being placed on the table. I suppose my distrust of the council came with those moments I spent with my father and his partners but they were right. They needed to stick their noses out of the politician's business.
I decided I wanted to enter politics at the age of 18. The council annoyed me and the mayor until that point had just been lying down for anything they said. No, the normal species needed a voice and I planned on giving it to them. After plenty of talking with the contacts I'd built up, I managed to run a very successful campaign and by the time I was twenty three, I was the Mayor of Nox. Yes, you could say I've been corrupted in my time of power but I still provide that voice of reason to the council for the town. I'm that power they needed and I'm that one that has the balls to say no to those who really shouldn't be in a position to declare anything.
Geez, i hear the Council are being bitches these days. Your view on them?
I think they are a giant big waste of time and the sooner they disband the little pop group the better. They bore me with how much they tell me I don't listen to what they say but I don't care about them? I'm here, in this position, for the citizens and that's all. They can believe they are all powerful if they wish but to everyone else they aren't. Having the view that everything is just peachy is so naive it hurts. Honestly, sit in a room with that crowd for five minutes and it will be enough for you to want to blow your brains out.
Idea of a perfect date?
Hmm, well, presumably she would be in a night club or along the strip so they'd be up for a good time anyway. In which case, a good date would be classed as dancing a bit, some club necking before having the lady return to my house for a good time. We don't deal with second dates in this establishment.
If your life had a slogan, what would it be?
'I'm good at what I do because you aren't.' And that's a fact.
Your favorite meal?
A good hearty roast will settle with me just fine. I tend to eat a lot when I get chance which is a rarity indeed, but I certainly only enjoy correct food. None of this unhealthy stuff, thank you very much. It must be quality or nothing at all. You're more than welcome to cook for me though.
So times are hard, aren't they? What can you do to protect yourself?
I have an exceptional ability at being able to blend into my background and shadows which is actually very counter intuitive considering I like to be in the spotlight. Hey, sue me. But, if it came to it, I have managed to get enough contacts onto my side in my time to know that I would be protected or in the very least warned about a threat. And then it would be eliminated of course. Generally they know I'm not one to be messed with. Not many creatures can say they stood in front of the council and personally degraded them to their face. I have the talent of the mouth.
Wow, you have quite a reputation around here. How'd you get it?
Of course I have a fucking reputation. I'm the mayor of the best town; Nox. Well, I suppose I have a well known name due to the fact I've been putting myself out there since I was created. Sure, citizens seem to also have this idea that I am corrupt and in response to that I say at least you get what you want? Listen, everyone is corrupted in some form or another. To say you aren't would be the suggestion that you are perfect and even though I'm pretty damn close to it, I'm not that arrogant and neither should you be.
It needs to be understood that the hearsay that I don't let shit pass me by is not just hearsay. My town might not be the safest but it damn well is the best run. I have nothing but the best going and I dare you to try suggest otherwise. I'm strict, hard nailed and will sort you out if you disrespect my authority but on the other hand I can be your best friend. I am someone you want on your side every moment of the day. Get in with me and you are sorted for life. I might not be the best listener in the world but you need something? Come to me over the council and you will be rewarded. Let's keep this between us and great things can happen.
Do you like your family?
My family are a funny sort. Do I like them? Yes, of course I absolutely do. My mother is my life and my father is my hero. I'm not ashamed in loving my family and I pity anyone that does... after all, where do you think I got these pretty blue eyes from. My father was the most confident person i have ever met and so many individuals tell me I look and sound just like him which suits me just fine. I get so much advice from my family that it would be foolish to suggest they weren't part of who I am now.
I am an only child so I am to make them as proud as I possibly can and look, I've given them a ridiculously lavish life through my actions. They agree with me that it doesn't matter how you get to the top so long as you get there and guess what... I have. I'm the mayor of the best place ever, have been for just under five years and have people working for me at the age of twenty eight. I certainly cannot complain.
Good or evil? Which do you choose?
Well, that is another loaded question. I'm going to sit on the fence and be honest. Everyone has both in them, I fully believe it. No-one is completely 'light' as they say but definitely even the worst species can show some good. If you're asking me which I would choose... probably evil. They don't pussy around with feelings. They just get things done quickly and properly. That is more than what can be said for these so called 'light' individuals.
So are your sheets being tousled or what?
Everyday, and by a different woman each time. No second dates. I don't plan on settling down any time soon. I suppose you could blame my shade side for that. Hello to the good times.
If you had to chose, what is your least favorite thing about yourself?
Many of my opponents have been very quick to talk about my lack of listening especially considering I am in politics. I would definitely change the fact I can't listen if I could but don't tell anyone that. Other than that, I can't really think of anything I'm weak at. I'll tell you a secret in that I absolutely am terrified of confined spaces and fire. Just... fire is the fucking worst. I would do anything to avoid having that fear if I could. Tell anyone that and I will see to it you are disposed of in a less than pleasurable way though.

”POOLE! Get on the deck! Sandore kept his face blank though inside of his head, he was screaming bloody murder. Honestly, he was sure these pirates were absolutely and positively incapable of thinking before they acted. Sure, the idea of a huge amount of loot was just fabulous apparently, but really, at what cost? San pulled tight on the bandage he’d fixed around one of the pirate’s arms and gestured to the closest assistant to keep tugging until the blood reduced rapidly. Instinctively, San ducked as a loud ricochet shook the whole surgeon area. Grabbing the bandage again that the assistant had dropped; he pulled the man’s hands to grip back onto the material to again begin tugging. ”Do not let go!” Sandore turned and pulled any tools he could see on his eye level into the bag and took off out of the busy area, trying to push the odd injured pirate in the right general direction.
Following the pirate out onto the deck, San kept himself ducked but managed to sneak a look at the area they were looting from. Okay, perhaps the Cursed Wolf hadn’t quite anticipated the amount of defence there would be and why would they? Very rarely was an actual fight taken up to stop the pirates but clearly this place had different thoughts. In retrospect, San shouldn’t even be helping the Cursed Wolf with anything… it hadn’t been his choice to be here. No, he’d been stolen from the Bloody Terror in that fateful fight ninety years ago when the Captain’s mistress had been killed. Well, clearly the ship had other agenda’s that night too since he was now supposedly ‘part of the crew also.
Sandore looked to where the directing pirate had pointed before he sprinted over and instantly dropped to his knees, shuffling the odd person out of the way so he could see. ”Move.” He wasn’t really one to mince his words but in the situation, why should he? They might not have been his choice crew but they were still human beings at the end of the day and his nature wouldn’t allow him to leave them. It was a fact that this ship had used to its advantage far too often for his liking. Turning the pirate over and pulling the shirt up, San ignored the howl of pain from the man. ”Will he make it?” Sandore glanced up to see a younger man staring at him with wide eyes. ”That’s the plan.” He said gruffly, thrusting the bag with his tools in at the kid with his free hand. ”I need you to put that wood in his mouth so he can bite down on something, I don’t have time to do anything else with it.” San had yet to see Chruce, the Captain, anywhere though he was pretty sure he was distracted right now anyway.
”Put your hand here,” San let the young man push his palm just above the wound, holding the stomach steady whilst his other hand held the man down, “… okay.” Sandore didn’t waste any time and used his sterilised equipment to try and pull the bullet out of the wound so it could at least try and stop bleeding. Though it was difficult as the pirate squirmed beneath him, he anticipated the movement and finally felt the pincer grip something solid and he pulled as quickly as possible, pulling the bullet fragment out. San did his best to ignore the fighting going on around him and dropped the bullet to his side, pushing a cloth straight to the wound. ”Help me wrap this up.” Grabbing his medical tape, and with the aid of the younger man, San managed to secure the cloth and padding onto the wound, his eyes darting up and spotting the Captain at the same time.
”Well, this is going just spectacularly.” San shouted sarcastically over the noise at the man. In all honesty, he really shouldn’t speak to the Captain of the ship like that but he found himself unable to care. He’d never been particularly friendly with the man as he was, after all, supposedly the one that had given the order to steal him all those years ago. It was a working relationship. San allowed the space for two of the various assistants to quickly lift the pirate he’d just been working on and take him away, the surgeon just about glancing around to see where he was needed next. ”You just couldn’t wait for a better time?” The adrenaline from the loud noises around and the gravity of what he’d just performed was doing nothing but fuelling his already running away mouth. ”You’re showing the perfect traits of a Captain.” Oh, well that statement would probably be a suicide notice by anyone else but right now, amongst the heat of flying bullets and fights, San would only speak the utmost truth to the man in front of him.
