Ahh the sweet smell of a library. Full of old and new books, though old books held that lovely smell. Andrea ran a finger over the spines of the books on the shelves, reading the titles as she walked down the row. A few of the books she read when she was a child, others she read a few weeks ago. She smiled and pulled out a relatively large book from the shelf and opened up to the first page, quickly skimming. Andrea nodded and closed it up. The History section of the library was empty, few people were in the shelves and if they were they were looking for information for a paper. Andrea wasn't like that. She read these books for fun, for fun people. She grabbed another book and a third and carried her stack to a small corner of the library where people could read comfortably. She sat down at one of the desks after placing the books on the table and sighed, glad to have found these books. She opened up the first one she grabbed off the shelves and started reading, brushing hair behind her ear as she read the first page. What was she reading? History about Pandora. These books went more in depth than her school books do and did. She flipped through the pages quickly, skipping topics she learned and quickly reading topics she didn't remember going over in school. She was considering transferring to Olive Tree University to study Journalism there, but she wanted to get her other classes out of the way, you know the classes you have to take like Math and Science. She pulled up her white top a bit and continued to read. The library was cool, letting her body escape from the extreme heat outside. Even though it was starting to turn into fall, summer still had a few tricks up it's sleeve. She looked up from her book and sighed, closing it as she got bored of the topics. She then grabbed one of the fun books she had and started reading that. If you could call a history book fun. Andrea liked reading them though so don't judge her!! Quickly Andrea took out her journal and started taking down a few notes. Oh if you were wondering, this was also for a history class, so she was having fun and doing work at the same time. She looked around the library, trying to see if there was an open computer but when she found none she shrugged and continued to write out her paper outline. She already had her paper in her head, she just didn't want to waste anymore paper by having it all in a notebook. She heard someone start walking to the table but she didn't look up, she was hoping if she ignored the person long enough she'd be able to make them disappear, or maybe she'd just make herself disappear that works too. Either way she wanted to be alone. After a bit she realized the person wouldn't go away so she looked up, cheeks pink and smiled a bit, "Yes, can I help you?" Andrea sat straight, smiling a bit. She just wanted to be left alone, but she doubted it would happen. Besides, the paper wasn't due for two months, she had time to work on it. Outfit: ClickWords: Blech Muse: Died halfway through.

Sometimes, Willow just got the urge to hop up out of bed and learn something. She didn’t know why it happened, it just did from time to time. It happened when she was seven, and it still happened to this day. There was nothing bad about it, of course not, in fact it was entirely beneficial a lot of the time. Like now, when she was in college with more papers due than she could count half the time, even though she was an art major and she found it entirely unfair to have to write a paper about anything.
Not that her art history professor agreed if the fact that she had a seven page paper due next week was any indication. That was quite alright, though, she decided. Because today she was in the mood, the correct mood, to work on it. She nodded slightly to herself and slid out of her dorm room bed, grateful to not have to bother with a roommate still, because she had a single, and got ready to go out. One thing had never changed from the time she was little to now though, she loved colors.
It showed when she dressed, it showed in how she acted, it showed in how she drew! She loved color, and why not? The young mute woman slid over to her closet, yawning slightly even though it was the middle of the day last she checked, she tended to sleep in. It took her a moment, going through her choices, before she settled on the red plaid dress her “father” had had made after one she had been obsessed with as a child. That was perfect, and it was hot out today, hot enough for the dress and no tights…which worked well for her. Tugging on the dress which fell about her knees with a slight flare to it, she also pulled on matching red flats and a red headband that pushed her silky light blond hair back and away from her face.
What could she say, she liked to match. That and she had a thing for headbands, always had.
Her beat up old brown bag with all of her school books was tossed on next over her shoulder. It wasn’t as fancy or pretty as her dress, and it tended to clash with the dress, but oh well…she adored the bag and it was allowed just this once. She could handle it, she was a big girl. With a silent giggle, she slid in her notebook, the worn one with more phrases than she could count, and was ready to go. Rainbow colored headphones, painted by Willow herself, settled over her ears and she slid out of her dorm room.
After a moment of hesitation, the girl decided that the best place to head to would probably be the Library in town. The one on campus was amazing and all, but in town there was a lot more to chose from. Thus committed to her choice, the young woman turned on her heel and made her way from campus into the proper Pandora, with all the little shops and such that made her adore this place. She really did. It was interesting. Most of her family was off the continent, she hadn’t been born here and was one of the rare cases that had moved, but that didn’t make her feel lonely. She emailed them all the time and was constantly on webcam with Ray. She’d call, but that would be slightly pointless, wouldn’t it? She chuckled silently at the idea.
She slid into the library when she got there and was glad to be greeted by the rush of cold air. Even in a dress rather than anything all warm and bundled up, it was still hot outside, almost enough to make her question whether or not Fall was really starting to come along. It seemed like ti was still summer! Not that she minded, summer being her favorite season, but still! She had sent all her summer clothes back home a week ago in preparation for the cold, all she had in the way of clothes for warmer weather were her dresses, so she certainly hoped this wouldn’t be a pattern or anything.
After consulting the map for a moment, the young woman made her way over to the history section to find it delightfully empty. She supposed she should take off her headphones in the library, but it wasn’t up to high because Willow’s hearing was so sensitive because of her muteness, nd also there was no one else here! As far as she could tell at least. Willow gathered up her art history books that she would need and, not paying much attention, headed over to the place where all the tables were. She was off in her own little world and not paying much attention, which was probably how she managed to almost sit at the one table that had someone sitting there.
She blinked in surprise when she heard a voice over her music and tugged off her headphones, her mouth in a little oh of surprise and if she could have made that shocked little oh make a sound she would have. She shook her head and sat down her books to free up her hands and quickly signed in sign language. “Sorry I didn’t see you there” And then she scowled at herself, realizing that this poor woman may not know sign language and dug out her book.
After flipping around her pages, she finally found what she wanted. ”Sorry! I didn’t see you there!” she pointed to in her book and showed the woman. It showed how often that she almost bumped into people that it was one of her common phrases in her book. She then smiled and covered her hands over her mouth in the universal symbol for being mute and then pointed to the chair across from the woman, a questioning look on her face, clearly asking if she minded if Willow sat with her. The place may be nearly empty, but Willow always worked better if she was near other people.

Andrea sighed, wondering how to finish this paper that was due in a while. She would rather get it done now and then revise it up until the due date. She looked through the pages of her books, muttering and writing things down in her notebook. She itched her ear and bit the inside of her cheek, deep in concentration.
Which was why when the young blonde woman bumped into her table she was a bit shocked and angry. She was writing in pen not pencil, so she was upset that she had a new lovely line in her notebook. She looked quickly through her bag for white out after she asked the girl what she wanted. When the girl didn't talk right away she rose her eyebrow and looked up and frowned slightly, mostly at herself.
Thee girl couldn't speak, wow did Raea feel horrible. She itched her upper arm and smiled at the blonde girl who she was accidentally rude to . Her cheeks flared red and she laughed sheepishly, "Ohh you can sit here, I'm sorry I usually am alone in the library. Please sit down." She pulled a few of her books back over to her, placing sticky notes into the pages to save her spot, and smiled again at the young woman. "I'm Andrea, but you can call me Raea if you want. What's your name?" She itched her upper arm again, kind of upset that her shirt irritated her shoulders so much. Her bracelets jangled as she rubbed her right arm, writing down quick little notes from her history book.
She also had an archery book out to a page on which woods were the best for archery. She was thinking of buying a new bow, her current one she could feel was about to break. She smiled over to the woman sitting across from her, "So where do you go to school and what are you studying? I'm at a community college in Chiaro, trying to transfer to Olive Tree University." She pointed to the application folder that she had next to her book. She was working on it as she went through her schooling at the community college. She was also trying to find a job somewhere. Hard to find a job she'd actually like, then again she'd be happy volunteering at the library. She was already there most of the day anyway.
She rubbed her arm again and grumbled, looking to see if her shirt was irritating her, and that's when she noticed something that she KNEW wasn't there before.
It was an owl. An owl tattoo. She knew she didn't get a tattoo earlier so why did she have one now? She grabbed a book on the history of the council and flipped through it, nearly tearing a page flipping back to the one she skipped over.
There!! Council Symbols. She looked through the Council tattoos and saw wings on ankles, lightning bolts, and then she found it. An owl on the upper arms of the last Athena Council Member. She looked at her upper arm and then gulped. She decided to be quiet about it but she felt her arms shake a bit. She was a Council Member? No she couldn't be. Athena was a brave, strong woman, Raea.....wasn't all that brave. Or strong. She sighed and put her face in her hands. This was not good. She pulled up her shirt shoulders as much as she could but they fell down, revealing a bit of the new Council tattoos.
OOC: Hope you don't mind if she becomes the council member here? I find it fitting she found out in Athena's library, that and I didn't feel like writing a new one. I owed you a post anyway hope you don't mind love ^^" Words: I'll get back up to my 700 sooner or later, right now it's about 500 or less >< I haaaate short posts. Outfit: Same as last time.

Willow had this odd quirk about her. She liked to be around other people. She worked best when she was around others, and she knew that was weird because most people worked best when they did just the opposite. Most people did best when they were on their own because it let them focus entirely on their work. Willow was different. She could focus best when she wasn’t on her own because it reminded her to focus because the other person was focusing. Her attention tended to wander about when she was on her own, unless she was drawing.
Willow was just a people person, that was all there was to it.
All the same, she had never intended on, quite literally, bumping into the table that held the only other person in this section of the library. That was just her sort of luck to bump into the one table out of many with people sitting at it. Or person rather. The girl looked up, annoyed obviously because she had made the girl draw a line in her book that was entirely unwanted. Willow blushed a little bit, because she had never intended to do that, she had just gotten distracted that was all.
She signed, asking if she could sit there and then realized the other woman probably couldn’t understand and dug out her book, pointing to a phrase for her to apologize for bumping into the other woman. She had also indicated that she was mute. She wondered if this would make the other woman start yelling. Peoplpe usually assumed that if she was mute, she was also deaf. Because most were. But Willow had damaged her vocal chords as a child, that was why she was the way that she was, she wasn’t born this way.
The other girl blushed, obviously feeling bad because Willow was mute but Willow waved off her apology and sat down, putting down her bag and books as well. She didn’t want people just feeling bad because she was mute. She didn’t see herself as lesser because she was mute. She smiled back when the other woman smiled and then nodded, agreeing that it was nice to meet her as well. She introduced herself and Willow flipped to the first page in her book, pointing to two phrases with a smile. ”Nice to meet you! and[ My name’s Willow. She couldn’t do anything else with questions and statements like that sadly. Though it didn’t bother her to scribble down answers.
The other woman kept itching her arm but Willow shrugged and pulled over her first book, flipping through to a page that she wanted so she could start getting to work on this essay. It wasn’t due for a week or so, but she had woken up with the urge to work on it so work on it she would. It made sense to her. Work while she felt like she had the need to, right? It always gave her the best work.
She looked up when the other girl, Raea she called herself, started to speak once more. Andrea asked where she went to school and what she was studying, but first went on to chat about how she was working to get into Olive Tree. Willow grinned widely, and then tapped the application that Andrea had showed moments before, tapping the name of the school and nodding. That was where she went! She giggled silently. That was her school all right. Now how to tell what she was studying. She frowned a little bit but then her face lit up like a light bulb was over her head and she tugged over one of the books she had pulled off the shelves and tapped the word “Art” as for what she was studying.
Willow was really good at charades.
The woman kept itching her arms and Willow frowned a little bit and tilted her head ever so slightly. What was making the poor woman so itchy? It didn’t look like any fun and Willow felt bad that she had to go through that. Poor girl.
She blinked as Raea noticed something on her arm and then flipped around in a book. What was going on here? She tilted her head, as if to ask, but then she noticed the tattoo on her arm. That was a Council Mark, not any ordinary tattoo and Willow blinked, pointing to it. She was pretty sure this girl she was sitting at wasn’t a council member, and Willow lived in Pandora so she knew who the council members pretty well.
But then she remembered that Athena’s council member had passed on recently. Oh. Oh. So this girl had just discovered that she was a council member? Wow…and Willow had been here when it happened. She arched both brows and applauded, congratulating her on this discovery. The librarian shushed her and Willow blushed, ducking her head in apology before turning back to Raea, who didn’t look too happy. She arched a brow, asking if she was alright.

The girl across from her sat down and Raea smiled, glad that she didn't totally offend her with her comment earlier. When asking her name the girl flipped her sketchbook to a page that said her name was Willow. Raea smiled and nodded, "Nice to meet you as well Willow, pretty name." Well it was true. She was also a pretty girl, looked artsy too. She went back to her studies a bit and then asked Willow where she went and what she studied at school. "Maybe so we can communicate easier you can teach me sign language? I've always wanted to learn." Which was true, sign language would be very useful to have.
Willow pointed to Andrea's application and she laughed a bit. Olive Tree! Raea smiled at Willow "Then I hope we're classmates sometime soon." Willow then pointed to her art book for what she was studying at the school and Raea nodded. "Mind if I see a few of your sketches? You don't have to show me if you don't want to." She smiled and rubbed her arm a bit. That had been happening over the past few days, her right arm especially, though her left itched a bit as well.
That was when she noticed the Council tattoo on her arm, which shocked Raea. Willow looked confused but the poor girl didn't really care as she flipped through the book that was in front of her. She sighed once she found the council mark that was the Owl Tattoo for Athena. It was very simple, the basic outlines of an owl, but still, an owl. And very elegant looking. She looked at the other council members and her eyes fell on the Apollo one. Well, something was telling her he was important, but she couldn't place it, and didn't WANT to place it. She closed the book and then put her head in her hands. Why couldn't the Council Mark appear on somewhere that was easy to hide, like her back or something...Then she wouldn't have noticed it until much later, and the Council needed all their members.
It then crossed her mind that the last Athena Council Member died a week or two ago, so the gods were fairly efficient when choosing their new members and keeping the Council full. A week or so to find the new Council Member? How could they figure out who was the right choice? Well that was a question she'll have to figure out on her own. Willow started applauding and Raea's cheeks turned very red. She looked up at the librarian, who shushed Willow and Raea saw Willow blush. Raea looked at the librarian and covered her ears, looking away. Did she just hear the librarian's thoughts?! She wouldn't know she didn't want to know because she wanted to learn all this stuff in time.
Basically she was scared. Scared about a lot of things. Would her new council members like her? Would people still think she was the same person? She looked at Willow's arched brow and shrugged, "Scared, and we just met and I find out I'm a Council Member, bad timing I guess, hope it doesn't change your opinion on me?" People didn't like the council members, so Raea wanted to make sure Willow didn't storm out of there, though from her reaction at the discovery Raea could tell she was excited, empathy from being Angelli also came in handy, though she wasn't as good at it like her father.
Ohhh her parents?! What would her parents say?! They'd be excited probably, since they thought the Council was a wonderful thing. Well at least her teachers were right about a political position in the community, she just wished it wasn't such a prominent position!! "Now I'm gonna need a body guard and everything...This is..I don't know what this is!!" She looked at Willow and sighed deeply, "Sorry if I'm talking too much I babble." She smiled sheepishly and pulled her sleeve up to try and cover the tattoo. Her sleeve stayed put this time so she smiled and continued to work on her paper, but then put it away and started to work on her app for Olive Tree.
Well, now there was one question on her mind. How did the last Athena Council member die?!
Words: Blah, never as epic as yours Muse: Bad. Died at the end, ah well Comments: She's scared, like in the Council post, she also is realizing she's got horrible luck
