Nixie hated to dress up, almost as much as she hated her mother. Wait. No. That was a lie. Her mother was way higher on the hate scale then getting dressed up was. Her mother topped that scale and beyond. Either way, the dark haired Shade sighed and looked at herself with gorgeous deep blue eyes in the mirror. No, she didn’t like getting dressed up either way, even though it wasn’t as high on the scale as other things she disliked. It didn’t matter. It was a dislike. At any rate, she preferred something more casual…but what could ya do? At least it brought out her eyes.
Nixie was headed to the Pantheon club. Why? Because she didn’t feel like leaving Pandora. It was a quick ride to Nox or one of the other cities, where there were clubs she didn’t have to dress up for and other things like that, but for some reason, Nix just wanted to stay close to home tonight, instead of going all off to the outer reaches of this place she dwelled in. She could easily ask someone else to drive her, it was a perk of being a Council member. But Nixie hated abusing those perks if she could. It made her feel too much like she was back home when she did.
She could admit, however, that she did look nice. As much as she hated it. Her long dark hair was brushed until it shone. And the silky fabric of the dark blue dress that she wore felt nice against her skin at least, and brought out the wonderous blue of her eyes, so rare for a shade that she often suspected her father of being Angelli. It wouldn’t be a doubt in her mind if she didn’t remember that her mother hated the Angelli so fiercely, that was what made it only a possibility. Either way, the low cut back of the dress revealed her Mark of Poseidon, as always. She often showed it off, because it meant no one questioned her and left her alone.
Plus, she had a nice back, so why not?
The dress stopped a few inches above the knees, which kept it modest, and the front didn’t dip too low. She didn’t have a huge bust to show off, which was why she often kept the low cut aspect to her back rather than her front. Yep, she was headed to Pantheon all right. She was wearing plain black gladiators though, which didn’t enhance the dress like heels may have, but she hated heels. And the gladiators didn’t pull away from the dress either, it just kept it in neutral. Which was fine by her. Fuck. She took a deep breath and pulled herself away from her mirror.
She wanted to go out, she wanted to dance and live it up. So she could live with getting dressed up for the sake of that. She was fully intending to find someone to, how did people put it? Rumple her sheets? She snorted. Okay, so she wanted a dude to go a good round with, get a good fuck out of it. She’d even let him come home with her to do it. She was in a generous mood, despite the damn dress and the getting dressed up.
Besides, it just looked good when the Council showed up at the club. For some reason. Whatever, that wasn’t why she was going. She waved off her guard when he tried to follow though. ”I can handle myself, bud, no worries. And if I get in trouble…that’s why Pantheon has security, right?” she said with a little grin for her guard, who totally did not look relieved for her to be on her own, and her explaination did not seem to ease his doubt. Oops. She meant it though, she knew she would be fine and with him hovering over her shoulder, she would get totally nothing done tonight. No boys came near her with him looking over her shoulder, and she couldn’t have that. Not tonight. That was the whole reason she had come out here in the first place.
So she waved him off as she left her apartment, taking one of the private elevators that came to this floor down to the lobby, where she happily called herself a cab, mostly to enjoy feeling normal for once. She had either been in the lap of luxury, or she had been abandoned and on her own, or she was a Council member. She took her chances to be on her own and do normal things when she could, considering most of her life hadn’t been normal. Now she just wanted to live and live it up as best as she could.
The line to Pantheon was long, as expected, when she got there. And she debated keeping her normal streak and actually waiting in line, but she knew that people would make a really big deal about that the next day. Some would call her amazing for waiting in line, but most would jeer and spread rumors that she was mocking people. She sighed. Oh the line she had to walk. So she smiled politely at people that recognized her, internally rolling her eyes, and headed into the club without waiting.
Once inside, she breathed a happy sigh of relief as the music hit her ears. She loved this place, so much. In here, the music was so pumping that she couldn’t hear the thoughts of everyone around her. It was a blessed relief to shut out the world like that. She grinned widely and looked around. The classy black and white interior of Pantheon greeted her, and she knew just where she wanted to go. Poseidon’s Council Member happily seated herself at the bar with her drink of choice, and watched the dancing for this moment, wondering who she would have her fun with tonight, if anyone. Come on, someone catch my eye she said, happily.

Hasn’t anybody told you to sit back and breathe? You can’t be living life like a loaded gun, Sing out, sing out, Things can only get better!
.xXx.
If there was one thing Justin loved with everything he had, it was fun. That may be expected from a party-loving, outgoing, fit, twenty-two year old like Justin, but did that mean he cared? Of course not. The man slipped from the shower to tie a towel loosely around his waist, a small smirk curving his lips as he hummed a song he’d obviously gotten stuck in his head. He nodded his head slightly with the tune, pausing to chuckle at himself in the mirror, before walking into his room to think over his options for the night. He was going to go to a club of sorts, but see, the question was... which one? He didn’t feel like going to the club for Shades, hell he didn’t even know if he was allowed to, so that left him with Lumino and Pantheon. They were both awesome clubs, and yet, both were entirely different. Justin paused, eyeing his drawers, the one which held his classy attire firmly closed. It was practically never opened, after all. I mean, why would Justin, of all people, be walking around wearing a suit? The man smirked, before kneeling down to pull the drawer open, and grasp onto the clothing. Looks like he was heading to Pantheon.
Justin hadn’t worn his suit in quite a while, but he had to admit it felt somewhat nice getting all dressed up again. It made Justin feel important, and as if he had a purpose. Was that a bad thing? Justin hoped not. He slipped on a pair of underwear and the black pants without problem, before slipping on his black belt, and reaching forwards to grasp onto the white dress-shirt he’d kept oddly good care of. Justin shrugged his arms through the sleeves one at a time and did up the buttons, before pulling on his black jacket and rolling up the sleeves in a classy, careful manner. He hated wearing sleeves past his elbows, for reasons he wasn’t quite sure of. Did that mean Justin cared? No. Just because his sleeves were rolled, it didn’t mean Justin wouldn’t get into the club. At that thought the man let out a low, breathless chuckle, before heading into the washroom to brush his teeth and get his hair looking up to his standards. He didn’t usually bother much with his hair, but he respected the dress code of the club. He couldn’t go somewhere in a suit, and just let his hair dry. It just wasn’t acceptable, was it? Justin shook his head, shoving the question away, before returning to getting ready. It wasn’t a few minutes later that Justin dubbed himself ready, and without haste, slipped his keys into his pocket and jogged out the door. He didn’t bother to lock his apartment behind him, a common mistake of his, and he continued to jog off down the stairs, knowing very well he’d get down to the main floor far before the elevator would return to the lobby. The man’s hand trailed along the handrail lightly as he raced down the stairs, his expression amused, and obviously excited. He shoved open the door to the lobby, once he finished the several flights, and nodded towards the two women behind the counter near the doors. They both smiled warmly in return, knowing well Justin’s routine, and he waited for the automatic doors to slide open, before jogging out towards his vehicle, digging into his pocket to grasp his keys. Justin fumbled around for a moment, trying to get his key into the lock, before succeeding and slipping inside the vehicle. It wasn’t anything big and expensive, but it worked for Justin. Four seats and otherwise considered small and compact, but Justin really didn’t care much about that. He loved his car for one reason, and on reason only. The radio. The man turned the volume up immediately after he turned the keys in the ignition, smiling as a familiar, over-played song blasted into his ears. He pulled his door closed and snapped his seatbelt on, before accelerating and pulling a U-turn onto the highway. He was a fast driver, but a good one nonetheless. After a few moments of rocking out alone in his vehicle, the man pulled up to the club, parked, glanced at himself in his mirror, before stepping out of the vehicle, locking it, and walking towards the entrance. It was already dark out, and Justin could hear the feint thudding of music from inside. He did his best to remain calm and unexcited as he waited in line, giving the few people that walked past him a polite nod, accompanied with a warm smile if they were female. What? Couldn’t blame him; he was male, after all. And an excited one, at that. Finally, once Justin was at the front of the line, he showed the large guard his ID and slipped inside without any further delay. A large smile shifted onto his features as the music entered his ears, the thudding of the bass shaking the floor beneath him. Justin found himself casually nodding to the beat of the song, before pulling at the collar of his shirt, and shrugging off his jacket. He gave it to one of the employees, who took it and walked off casually, before unbuttoning the first few buttons on his shirt. And then, Justin did exactly what he did best. He danced.
It wasn’t after a few songs passed that the man found himself somewhat tired, and in dire need of a drink. He did his best to squeeze through the crowd of grinding and dancing bodies without touching anyone unnecessary, and made his way towards the bar. There were several people sitting there, and Justin took a moment as he walked forwards, scoping out the area. Who should he sit beside? It was then, as he moved closer, that someone caught his eye. There was a woman sitting by herself, for the moment at least, that had just ordered a drink. She was tiny with a good figure, and from what Justin could see, was very, very beautiful. A small smirk sprung onto his lips, before he continued towards her, pushing his sleeves just past his elbows as he did so. He neared her with ease, moving quickly to catch her before some other guy moved in, only before slipping onto the seat beside her, and ordering a drink. Only then did Justin turn to look at her, resting and elbow on the bar to lean on it slightly. And at that moment, it clicked. Justin’s own light blue eyes captured her own, and within that moment, something inside him changed. He paused, his expression faltering, before he searched her own features out of curiosity and slight awe. She was his match, wasn’t she? Justin’s eyes widened slightly with surprise, as he observed her as quickly as possible, not wanting to make things awkward. He then took a moment, before smirking again, his fingers tapping against the bar. “Hey.” He greeted simply, his smile growing a little bit, before he continued. “Mind some company?” Justin asked simply, keeping conversation as regular as he could, considering he was pretty sure he’d just met his fucking match. But, could he just be imagining things? Was the music getting to him? Did she feel it too? Justin watched her carefully, taking a short moment to graciously look over her. The dress she wore was very flattering to say the least, and Justin couldn’t help but feel a little excited. Maybe it would be a better night then he had originally planned. We’re bound to make a change, Take some time to hold somebody! Leat go of fear and all your heartache, Learn to laugh, and learn to cry! Words: 1, 362 Muse: Alright! Notes: SO STOKED OMG. Hope this is okay. D; Sorry it's so rambly. [/blockquote]

It felt bizarrely amazing to get rid of her bodyguard for the night. She usually felt like she always had Marco over her shoulder. Not that she minded much, he was a sweet man who acted more like her big brother. When he had first started working with her he treated her like a breakable baby doll, and like she was going to act like a prissy little girl who wanted him to cater to her every whim and carry her bags when she went shopping. He soon found he had to remind her that she needed something new to wear to this function or that and was releived to find that Nixie could, and would, more than take care of herself.
After years of being on her own on the streets, Nixie could certainly handle herself. She wasn’t breakable and she didn’t like when people treated her that way. She was constantly slipping out of Marco’s careful care, which was the only thing that bothered him. Being the guard to a Council member was a Big Deal, and Nixie rarely made his job hard. SO he got all the perks and none of the prissy bitch to take care of. He just wished she’d stay put.
And she wished he’d let her free more often.
Like tonight. Tonight was wonderful. Here she was, at Pantheon, a club she could get into with no wait whatsoever, without any form of guard. She felt free. Nixie smiled faintly as she paused just inside the club, letting the beat rock her and the familiar feeling of being free hit her. She missed this feeling. Since becoming a Council Member she felt like she was walking a line. Everyone looked at her. All the time. It was…frustrating to say the least. She couldn’t be too bad or too good, she had to protect an image. Blah, blah, fuck that. The other council members never seemed to bother, so why should she? She just wanted to be free.
And tonight she felt like it. She was so happy with it to. She smiled and waved to the people she knew, knowing she was still in the public eye sadly, and weaved through the crowd. She wouldn’t go and dance yet, not right away. She just wanted to wait and see. She wanted someone to catch her eye, to interest her. She wanted someone that she could take home to her bed tonight…she grinned a bit at that thought. She really badly wanted someone to play with tonight. But she would settle for a drink. For now.
For now she would let herself be content to scan the crowd and wait to see if anyone seemed interesting enough to bother with tonight. SO far no one stood out. She loved not having to say a word after sitting at the bar, her drink was brought to her. And no, that wasn’t because of her council member status, that was because she had earned that recognition long before her Marks had ever surfaced. So that was something she could accept. She hated feeling pampered, and she knew if she had been passed that drink without knowing the bartender knew her already, she would have spazzed. She sipped her drink lightly and merely scanned the crowd as she debated. No, he just wanted her after seeing her Marks. No, he would not look attractive without a shirt. No, she was female. Duh.
And then she felt someone looking at her. She refrained from using her telepathy, but the slight glean told her he thought she was beautiful. That brought a small smirk to her lips as she took another sip of her drink. She had only done a small glean to make sure he wasn’t interested cause of her status. She hated that obviously. If one couldn’t tell, she wasn’t all that ecstatic about being a Council member as it was.
She looked up, obviously going to tell him that she wasn’t sure she was looking for a lay that just thought her beautiful. Boys that thought that tended to be saps that got attached to her, as flattered as she was. But when she looked up, her eyes met his.
And it clicked.
Oh fuck he was her match.
He was sitting next to her, and she could see from the way that he was looking at her that he had noticed it to. Oh fuck she had met her match. For a moment she was ecstatic, this meant she knew who it was, that nagging in the back of her mind could go away now. And then she really wanted to facepalm. She had met her match. Oh fuck she was stuck now. Now sleeping with anyone else would feel wrong. She was stuck. She sighed, so that killed the plan for tonight. Unless he wanted to come with her tonight already.
She took that moment to study this boy who was her match. At the very least she could hand it to him, he was certainly handsome. Typical Angelli blue eyes that she more than approved of, she had a weak spot for blue eyes. And he seemed nice enough, after all he had called her beautiful and hadn’t noticed she was a council member even though her marks were clearly exposed. Well, that was a note in his favor at least. She studied him, even after he said hey, not replying because she was studying him.
Eventually she did reply though. ”Hey” she replied, though she was clearly lost in thought. She was tempted to misuse her ability to see what he really thought about her but she kept it to herself. He asked if she minded company and she was surprised by the question and laughed out loud, not expecting that. ”I suppose I don’t have much of a choice anymore” she said with humor in her eyes as she took another sip of her drink.
And then she leaned back on her seat, curious to see what he would do in response to that. She didn’t even know his name and didn’t feel like giving hers until he gave his. She wouldn’t start out this matched status by giving in. Oh no. Poor boy, he had no idea what he was in for.
Words: 1104 Muse: Epic Comments: She kinda rambles in the beginning? But so excited anyway!

Justin Flyte
Hasn’t anybody told you to sit back and breathe? You can’t be living life like a loaded gun, Sing out, sing out, Things can only get better!
.xXx.
Justin was truly stunned. As he watched the girl before him with curious, shocked blue eyes, he could only think about the fact that he’d just met his match. He’d just met the woman he was pretty much destined to be with; forever and always. He blinked, watching her own expression shift several times, before she sighed, looking him over. Justin could only hope she wasn’t disappointed with him ending up her match, but then again, Justin didn’t have much going for him, did he? He hardly looked like he should be here, with his unbuttoned collar and bunched sleeves, let alone with a girl that looked like she did. Justin fell quiet after he greeted her with a simple hey, letting the silence hang in the air between the two. He watched her, carefully, waiting in anticipation for her response. She had to realized they were a match, hadn’t she? The tapping of Justin’s fingers quickened slightly as he waited, but he let out a slow, soft exhale when she finally answered him. She seemed to be deep in thought, but soon laughed at his next question, before replying once again. Had he done something that somehow amused her? He wasn’t too sure. Justin took the answer as permission to continue their conversation, though, and with a small, warm smile, happily responded. “Nah, I think you definitely still have a choice.”
He said with a nod and a small smirk, attempting to act falsely serious, before continuing but a moment later. “You could shoo me away if you really wanted to.” He finished with a grin, before lifting his elbow from the bar to grasp his drink and take a sip. He placed the cup down after a second and trained his eyes back towards her, his gaze lingering on her open-backed top for a moment, before she reclined back to get a better view on him, therefore cutting off his view. He paused, rethinking what he’d just seen, before his expression shifted into one of slight curiousness. He’d seen a mark there; that much was true. But, was that the mark he thought it was? Was this woman, his match, a council member? Justin took a moment to think this possibility over, before deciding not to bother her about it. If this stranger was a council member, he was sure she was annoyed with the publicity that came with it enough, as it is. She didn’t need yet another nosy man prodding her about her life, and butting into her business. He was sure she would be sick of that kind of behaviour. Justin settled into his seat easily with another smile, before speaking, deciding to make the first move and introduce himself. Might as well, right? After all, he was pretty much destined to be with this woman. The least he could do was give her his name. “I’m Justin, by the way. Justin Flyte.” He nodded, his smile shifting into an amused little smirk. He hadn’t really stopped smiling tonight, had he? The man’s expression shifted into a slightly amused one, as he thought about it. It wasn’t like Justin could help it; he was just having a damn-good day. Was that such a huge deal? He didn’t think so. And it wasn’t like talking to an absolutely stunning girl, like the currently nameless one before him that might just be his match, made him any less likely to smile. Why frown and cry when you could smile and laugh, right? Just as Justin went to take another sip of his drink, the song switched, into one particular song that made a breathless laugh slip from his parted lips. Barbra Streisand. He placed his drink down and looked back towards the woman before him, his smirk a little mischievous, and obviously playful. He came here to have some fun, so why not bring his match along for the ride? Justin turned his body towards her, glancing momentarily towards the building crowd, before raising a brow, as if in discreet challenge. “Speaking of being stuck with me... Would you want to dance?” He asked with a grin, tilting his head slightly. “You look like you can move.”
He added with a small wink and a laugh, totally just joking around. Well, for the most part. He’d already made it very, very clear she was attractive. But he wouldn’t come on too strong, Justin never did. He would, however, happily dance it up with her, if she wanted to. And if not? That was chill too. “Unless you’re thinking you might want to shoo me away, after all? That’s fine too.” He finished with another laugh, waiting rather eagerly for her answer. We’re bound to make a change, Take some time to hold somebody! Leat go of fear and all your heartache, Learn to laugh, and learn to cry! Words: 866 Muse: It kinda died. SORRY. D: Notes: Sorry, this fails. Muse will get better, I promise.<3 I'm still trying to get used to Justin like.. flirting. lmfao.[/blockquote]

Nixie was still tossing around the thoughts in her head as she tried to figure out how she felt about being matched. On one hand, it was nice not to have the nagging in the back of her hand and to simply know. It was also nice to have another thing that would piss her mother the hell off. See, now that made her smirk. Nixie was always looking for ways to get her mother off her back. And her mother had kicked her out for the simple fact of knowing her match was an Angelli. And now that she had met him, it would probably really piss the woman off. Hopefully enough to make her leave her alone.
Though, that was her selfish reason.
On the other hand, this meant she couldn’t stick to her original plan. No random men for her tonight. How sad. And there was also the fact that this boy was the one she was stuck with for the rest of her life now. How did she even know if she liked him, by Poseidon this was a mess. And if she didn’t like him she knew very well it didn’t matter. Though, Aphrodite was usually very good at these things, matches rarely hated each other. Still, she didn’t approve. Or did she?
Perhaps she should just focus on getting to know him first. Lets see, he hadn’t immediately assumed to know her or her name, and he thought she was beautiful—not sexy or hot but beautiful. That was in his favor, Nix hated when people thought in those sexist terms first. He also was quite good looking himself, she wouldn’t mind being stuck with a face like that for the rest of her days. She wasn’t hiding the fact that she was studying him either. Nixie was often very blunt and didn’t hold back what she thought. Why pretend to be otherwise with her match?
He also responded very well to her comment about having a choice about the matter. He pretended to be serious and told her she still had a choice, mentioning that she could shoo him if she wanted. Well she could, for a few reasons, but what could that possibly do? Shoo-ed or not, he was still her match. And she decided to tell him so, speaking out loud with a sense of sarcasm and wry humor to her voice, a small smirk on her lips. ”I don’t think that would do me any good, do you?” she asked, arching a brow. She knew very well that they were matched, and had counted on him knowing it as well. Now to test the boy. It amused her at least to do so.
She leaned forward to take another sip of her drink and think about this a bit. Well, Marco would be happy at least. She had a bad habit of slipping out the next morning after a one night stand and letting him “take care of the trash” as he liked to put it. Aka, he kicked them out and then called her, entirely exhasperated, after he did and she got the speech about how he was her body guard not her maid for the millionth time. She could practically recite it herself. She finished her drink and waved off the bartender when he asked if she wanted another. She had a high limit, but she wanted to be entirely clear headed tonight, tonight it seemed she had important matters to figure out.
She leaned back again and he introduced herself. And then was entirely shocked when he seemed to expect her to share hers. It almost made her laugh. She didn’t get that a lot. People liked to assume that they knew her most of the time, which pissed her off. She nodded a bit, clearly appreciating that fact. ”You’re not from Pandora, are you” she mused out loud softly, not expecting it to be heard over the music that was pulsing in this place.
And then she took on an entirely fake sense of seriousness, tugging the hem of her dress’s skirt down slightly to a more “respectable” length and straightening her back, throwing her semi-glossy dark hair that marked her as a shade behind her shoulder. ”I am Ariana Symphonia, Poseidon’s Council Member,” she said, pretending to be haughty. And then she rolled her eyes and slouched back in her chair slightly, laughing a little. ”Seriously though? Call me Nixie, everyone does.” she said, her tone far more laid back than a moment ago, and she shrugged slightly. Her title meant nothing but a nuisance. It drove her nuts more often than not and meant that her mother could come back into her life. She had only announced it because the boy seemed not to know, and it seemed only fair to share.
If she called him Ariana though, she would smack him. Even Marco called her Nixie.
She continued to be laid back and relaxed, and without a drink as of right now, as the song changed and he got a bit of a…well a mischievous look to him. She arched a dark brow at him, confused as to why the hell he was looking at her like that. He asked if she wanted to dance, clearly challenging her and she tilted her head slightly. Well maybe this one would do, if he wante to have fun. That was why she had come tonight, after all, wasn’t it? To have a good time and to relax, to find someone to spend the night with. Why not relax and enjoy it? It wasn’t like she had much of a choice…she would be shooting herself in the foot to not at least try to relax.
He said she looked like she could move and she rolled her eyes. ”Aww how cute, he flirts” she teased as she stood from her chair. She wasn’t tall, per se, but she wasn’t that short either. She turned and started walking towards the dance floor, and then looked over her shoulder when he didn’t follow her immediately. ”Well come on then, gonna admire my ass or come dance? It was your suggestion” she teased lightly. It was the way Nixie played. If she was going to be stuck…well..
Might as well try to enjoy herself.

Justin Flyte
Hasn’t anybody told you to sit back and breathe? You can’t be living life like a loaded gun, Sing out, sing out, Things can only get better!
.xXx. It was still extremely hard for Justin to wrap his head around the fact that he, Justin Flyte, had found his match. I mean, it was something he always figured would happen, and yet, it was as if it hadn’t yet registered within his mind. He sat there, just watching her, in attempt to convince himself he wasn’t in some sort of dream. He wasn’t complaining, god no, but it was just... weird. That terrible nagging in the back of his mind to find that person, the person he was supposed to be with forever, had simply vanished. As soon as he’d seen her, everything had just fallen perfectly into place. Did that scare Justin? No. Then again, he was open-minded about pretty much everything, wasn’t he? Hell, if anything, Justin felt somewhat excited. But then again, who wouldn’t be when they were supposed to be with a girl like her? Justin was pulled from his little mental rant by the sound of the woman’s voice once again, both amusement and sarcasm heavy in her tone. The man found himself smiling yet again and shook his head softly in response to her question, a small chuckle escaping him. “Honestly? Nah. I think I’m too persistent to be shooed off, anyways.” He said with another grin, before continuing. “But hey, at least I gave you options, right? I think I should get points for trying.” He added with another playful, little smirk of his. The man took a moment to lift his drink to his lips momentarily, before letting his eyes once again find the woman’s before him. He quite enjoyed the conversation they were having, and despite the two being matches, he had a feeling she was most definitely not the type of girl that would give in too easily. They’d only had a few minutes together, and already, she was challenging him. But that was perfectly fine in Justin’s books, he always appreciated a bit of a challenge. Who didn’t? Life has to be exciting, and Justin had a small feeling that, should this woman be involved in his, it would be exactly that. Exciting. Justin watched as the woman took a sip of her drink, and politely declined the bartender’s offer for yet another one. He respected that though, because as much as drinking was a hell of a fun thing to do, women that got smashed every night would never be in Justin’s best interest. Then, he chose to introduce himself and recline back into his seat, watching her with question written across his expression. And she just looked at him. It was this fact that had Justin suddenly wondering about the marks he’d seen on her back, but his thoughts were cut short as she spoke. It was soft and barely audible, but Justin just caught it, his smirk growing. “Can’t say I am.” He answered with a small smile, just to let her know he’d most definitely heard. He wasn’t ashamed of the fact he wasn’t from around here, but he had a strange feeling he should know who this woman was. He watched as her demeanour changed into one of complete seriousness, and she tossed her hair over her shoulders, and pulled her dress down to a level Justin didn’t quite appreciate. But that could be a secret; he wasn’t a dog. It was then the woman spoke, introducing herself in what seemed to be a very regal tone, causing Justin’s eyebrow to raise rather suddenly. So she was a council member. Huh. So he was right? Justin smirked once again as she returned to her earlier posture and rolled her eyes, telling him to call her Nixie. That was definitely a new one. Justin nodded, before speaking. “Well, Nixie, the pleasure’s all mine.” He added with a chuckle, before tilting his head slightly, and nodding. “I had a feeling you might have been a council member. But, I’m sure you get enough strangers bugging you about it, huh?” He inquired rather easily, resting an arm on the back of his chair loosely to watch her with amusement in his eyes. And, it was then that the song shifted into one he rather enjoyed, only for partying uses. He grinned at her, and had to resist the urge to laugh at her questioning brow-raise. Could she not understand? Justin shook his head a little, before asking if she wanted to dance, and taking an extra moment to comment on the fact she certainly looked like she could move. Could you really blame him? Her response had Justin laughing though, and he stood soon after she did, taking a moment to have a quick sip of his drink before replying. “Glad to know you think I’m cute.” He commented lightly with another smirk, before taking another sip of her drink and going to walk after her. Only, Justin paused and brought his eyes up to meet hers once she turned to look over her shoulder at him, accusing him of checking her out. Okay, so maybe she’d caught him. Justin couldn’t help it. He was male. He just grinned at her, and put both hands in the air in surrender. “Damn, you caught me. So sorry.” He added with fake sincerity, placing a hand lightly over his heart. Only after a second did he grin and jog up to her side, slipping his arm around her small waist in what would be considered a rather daring action, to start manoeuvring through the crowd to find a suitable spot. He didn’t drag her along like most people may have, but simply intended to shield her from the flailing bodies all around them. He in no way would force a girl to do something; he never would. And to be perfectly honest, he didn’t exactly want her to get nailed by some fist-pumping idiot, either. Once Justin was satisfied with their location within the crowd he smirked down at her, before shifting so he was behind her, his other hand snaking down to place itself on her other hip. He didn’t plan on doing anything too wild and crazy unless she seemed totally for it, so he kept himself in check, but let the music move him in unison with her. He brought up a hand to brush across the skin of her exposed back lightly, his fingers tracing over the tattoo, before dropping his hand to her sides once again. Yeah, he was pretty sure tonight would be quite the night. We’re bound to make a change, Take some time to hold somebody! Leat go of fear and all your heartache, Learn to laugh, and learn to cry!

Hmmm, maybe Aphrodite got it right sometimes. Then again, aside from her haughty air and her lust for well…lust…Nixie considered herself very passive for a shade. So perhaps that was why she was amused rather than annoyed by this boy who was now her match? Perhaps. Either way, she found herself amused. He seemed to be doing all the right things at least. He didn’t presume to know her just because most people knew her name, and he didn’t assume that just because they were matched she was ecstatic and wanted to talk to him all night. Not that she wasn’t curious. Of course she was.
Though, she refrained from using her ability. She hated using it if she could help it, the constant buzzing of people’s thoughts in the background bothered her more than anything else. But she was a Council member, and that was the privilege right? She couldn’t help but think that Poseidon had got it wrong picking her. She didn’t care enough about…anything. Sure she worked hard to keep the council balanced in all things and make sure they didn’t do anything horrible, but that was what anyone would do, right? Okay…shut up.
She nodded, faintly impressed, when he said that he gave her options and that should give him points if you asked him apparently. ”Trust me, it does, and that’s important with me” she said with a smug little smirk. Despite her love of keeping the council balanced and generally being seen as a “good” person, Nixie loved playing games with people…she was good at it. It was what had kept her alive when she had spent two years on the streets alone and…horribly not prepared. She had led a priveldged life before that, getting dumped was…a shock. And it had led her to become the often secluded, testing woman that she was.
He didn’t seem to mind though, which just made her curious. Which was another point in his favor.
All the same, she had no intentions of just…letting anything be assumed because they were matched. She would fight anything like that tooth and nail. Like she mentioned earlier, Nixie was a secluded person. She had troubles letting anyone in too close. She enjoyed her flings, but that was all they were…flings. They usually ended the next morning when Marco kicked them out, and if she decided she never wanted to see them again…well…she took advantage of that perk of being who she was. They couldn’t get into her apartment without the doorman letting her know and having her send them up. There was no one on Nixie’s “send up without asking” list.
That wasn’t to say she didn’t want to fall in love…she just didn’t think it was possible for her. She declined another drink before he told her his name and expected her to share his. She had made the comment, under her breath, about him not being from Pandora and was surprised when he answered. Well see, she thought she was the only one that paid that much attention. She smiled ever so slightly. He didn’t seem ashamed about it, but him not being from Pandora…and being her match well…it wasn’t like she could move. She wondered what would happen with that. And then pushed the idea down. She was not going that far forward.
Justin though…the name suited him. She nodded and then put on her little show with her title and her full name…before asking him to call her Nixie. No one understood why she preferred Nixie, and she never expalained. She didn’t think that she had to. If they couldn’t just respect it, well then they could call her nothing at all because she wouldn’t be seeing them. Nixie crossed her legs, not caring that it made her dress ride up slightly again cause she was still friggen decent, and waited to see what he would say to that. That was important. His answer made her groan a bit but laugh moments later, amused and approving of the answer. If he kept passing her little tests…she wasn’t sure where they would end up, but it might just be somewhere good. ”You have no idea. If I have one more person pretend to know me just because of it, I may explode” she answered. For all the world she appeared relaxed, but that was a double blade…mostly because the skittish girl never really let herself relax too far.
Though she was surprised to be enjoying her company, if she was being honest about it.
He laughed, and she tilted her head slightly, watching him do that. She wondered something idly, and debated asking it out loud. Cute wasn’t the word she would use, and she dimly wondered if it was the match that was making her attracted to him in that moment, or her own self. She pushed the thought away, and the idea of being attracted to anyone seriously enough to ever be real with them. ”I might even upgrade you to handsome…if you agree to let me sketch you sometime. That is if you’re not bored of me already” she said, being playful, but as always…everything was a test when it came to Nixie. Everything, every question…she weighed people’s answers. If they didn’t answer right, she was done. He was passing so far, she was wondering if he’d keep passing.
She accused him of checking her out when he didn’t follow right away and his answer made her roll her eyes at him for the millionth time from over her shoulder. But the answer, again, was keeping him passing and giving him points. Not denying it, even if he hadn’t been, got him points. ”You totally are not” she replied, being playful.
She arched a critical brow at him though when he put an arm around her waist. She may like the attention of men quite often, but this was different, she wa splaying this different…because she was not going to give in at all with this one, she wanted to make him work for it. Mostly because it amused her to, but also because she wanted him to know without a doubt that he could never assume anything with her. Because…it was just a stupid idea to assume anything when it came to her. But she decided to let it pass, just this once, and let him lead her through the crowd.
He slipped behind her, placing his hands on her hips, and she didn’t mind that change either, it was a familiar change. She was good at the dance floor, the way people moved and danced in clubs…it was in unison, there was something amazing about it to her. She leaned back against him easily, moving to the music and to the rhythm he had set first, not minding. She was the chosen of the water god for a reason, it may have made her tempermental, but it also meant she could move fluidly, and she did. When he touched her marks though… When people touced her marks it always felt weird, not a bad weird, but…just weird. It always made them hum against her skin. She let her eyes drift closed when he did it, appreciating the feeling.
When his hands went back to her hips, she arched her arms back to wrap around his shoulders best they could, just to see…just to see how far she could go with this match of hers. Nothing daring yet, not by Nixie’s terms, just testing the waters…

Justin Flyte
Hasn’t anybody told you to sit back and breathe? You can’t be living life like a loaded gun, Sing out, sing out, Things can only get better!
.xXx. Justin was really, really hoping he was doing everything he was supposed to. Sure, he’d had his fair share at chasing after girls, but this woman in particular, she made him look back on those times, and wonder if he really was acting the right way. He didn’t know whether it was the fact that she was his match or if he was just that interested, but either way, all he knew was that he seriously didn’t want to do something wrong; to upset her. Justin supposed they’d been matched for a reason, so maybe, just maybe, she’d like him enough as he was to keep him around. It’s not like he could change if she didn’t like him anyways, right? Justin shrugged off the question, trying to keep his nervous little insecurities at bay. He’d been fine up until now, so why change? He just needed to be himself, and hope she didn’t mind too much. The thing with women, though, was that they were all different. You couldn’t walk up to a girl and expect her to be close to the last, nor could you expect to get to know her right away. Women were complex, and Justin knew this. It’s why, most of the time, he tended to tread very, very carefully. He made sure not to come across too strong with this girl, which to be entirely honest, wasn’t entirely too hard. Back in Justin’s virgin days, he’d been shy as hell around girls. And yeah, at times, he still was. Not many other full-grown men tend to blush from a kiss on the cheek after all, am I right? Yep, only Justin. The man smirked at the thought, the action barely noticeable, before the woman spoke once more, successfully catching his attention. Her smile was smug, and for some, strange reason, Justin had a feeling she wore that expression quite often. It suited her. He didn’t mean that in a bad way whatsoever, but that smirk just seemed to... fit. If that made sense? He just nodded in response to her statement, watching her, his eyes full to the brim with amusement. “Good to know.” He said somewhat softly with another small nod, before watching as she politely declined another offered drink. He didn’t know why he enjoyed watching her in silence, but he did. Justin figured it was due to the fact she was his match. He was bound to be curious about her, wasn’t he? Bound to want to figure her out? The man took another sip of his drink, only to set it down as a few, softly muttered words escaped her lips. Justin responded to her without giving it a second thought, grinning at her as if to let her know that yes, he had heard her. And no, he certainly wasn’t from Pandora. He lived in Chiaro, like most of the Angelli he knew of. Did she suspect that? Even then though, Justin hadn’t lived there too, too long. He was kind of from... well, everywhere. If that made sense. It didn’t even dawn on him that the two separate living locations could possibly be a challenge, in the near future. He was far too caught up in the here and now, and getting to understand the woman before him. And then, once Justin introduced himself, came her little show of an introduction. Justin couldn’t suppress his grin, and once he learned of her name, he had a feeling he wouldn’t be forgetting it anytime soon. Unless, of course, he fell from a tree and lost his memory, or something along those lines. Ah, fun times. Justin’s brow almost furrowed at the thought, but he caught himself, just in time to answer her in a good, natural amount of time. While casually, of course, trying not to look at the way she had just adjusted her seat, therefore letting her dress ride up. Nope. Psht, he hadn’t even noticed it. Her response caused Justin’s smile to grow slightly, another small laugh leaving him. She seemed to be more like him then he had originally expected. “Well, I mean, not many people know you as well as I do, you know?” He asked in a kidding, playful manner, his head tilting just slightly. He was, of course, doing exactly what she said she hated. It was all in good fun though, wasn’t it? Justin didn’t truly mean any harm. He grinned at her, before going on. “We’re tight.” He said with a grave nod, before crossing his fingers and holding them up where she could see them. Was he just a little bit of a dork? Maybe. After a few seconds though, he could no longer resist letting a smile back onto his features, and just shook his head, hoping she wouldn’t overreact to his oddly normal actions. He always pushed the limits and teased, but only when he thought was appropriate. It was the way Justin was; silly. And it was then Nixie made the comment about how it was cute that Justin flirted, and he responded with a little teasing statement of his own. And it wasn’t moments later, after Justin’s small round of laughter had come to an end, that the woman asked him a rather... peculiar question. Justin paused, smirking, before raising a brow in slight question. He watched her for a moment, enjoying her rather playful attitude, before answering with a grin of his own. “I’m definitely not bored of you, I’ll tell you that much.” He said with a smirk, before pausing, as if in deep though, before continuing. “And as far as sketching goes... only if you draw my good side.” He added playfully with a wink, once again completely kidding. He hadn’t known she could draw, but then again, it wasn’t really expected of him to know, was it? For some reason though, Justin felt a little more confident knowing this little tidbit about her. It made him feel like he knew a little bit more about her. Made him feel more... comfortable? He wasn’t too sure. Justin shook the question away as Nixie stood up, and took a quick drink, before following after her. And, as he should have expected, she made a remark about him checking her out. Sure, he might have been guilty, but hey, he was male. It was expected. Hell, she should be used to it by now, looking the way she did. Justin grinned at her response, before replying himself. “It was supposed to be a secret.” He added with a youthful smile of his own, before slipping his arm lightly around her waist, and proceeding to work his way through the crowd. He did catch her raised brow, and for a split second, considered releasing his grip around her waist. But she seemed like the type of a girl to like a challenge, didn’t she? Justin offered her a small smile, being sure to keep his hold very, very loose instead of letting go, before sliding behind her once they’d found a little space. His hands found her sides as he moved to the music, not making any move closer until she leaned into him. Then, and only then, did Justin lean into her slightly, letting their bodies travel in unison. He smiled slightly at the feeling of her sides working beneath his hands, until his eyes caught sight of her mark, and he felt the need to touch it. He brought a hand from her side to brush lightly over the mark, letting his thumb trace over the tattoo lightly, before he placed his hand back onto her sides, and resumed focusing on moving as one to the beat of the loud, quick song. Once his hand returned to her side, however, Justin felt Nixie shift, her arms lifting to wrap around his shoulders loosely. It was a movement he very much enjoyed, and Justin leaned into her more solidly in reaction, though not so much as to make it uncomfortable. His hands trailed down her sides lightly, still simply testing the grounds, definitely not wanting to do anything that would potentially scare her off. He had quite the feeling that she had experience in situations like this, but would wait and see where things went before making any risky actions. He smirked down at her as the song grew quicker, relishing in how fluidly she moved. Women that couldn’t move with the beat were always... interesting to dance with. All Justin could say was that he was most definitely not complaining, here. We’re bound to make a change, Take some time to hold somebody! Leat go of fear and all your heartache, Learn to laugh, and learn to cry!

Post by ARIANNA "NIXIE" SYMPHONIA on Sept 27, 2011 23:36:05 GMT -5
Nixie was slowly becoming more intrigued by this boy who seemed to answer all her little tests correctly. She wasn’t used to it. Normally people got it wrong and she had an excuse to cut them out entirely, or at the very least it let her ignore them as she wished to. Sharai, her baby sister, said it was just her way of making sure to keep people away from her, that she was making excuses in order to cling to her solitary lifestyle while still blaming the rest of the world. Nixie supposed that was true. Not that she would ever admit it out loud. She was quite happy with the way she was, thank you. Why mess with what worked?
Besides, she honestly couldn’t shut out this boy, could she? He was her match. Whether or not she honestly wanted to, she wouldn’t really be able to as she liked because something in her would always be drawn to him and pushed away from other boys. How annoying. She wondered, though, if this would finally give her a reason to get around her solitary stuff and finally let herself…let someone else in. Nah…probably not knowing her…but who knew?
He had introduced himself to her, and she made note of the little fact that he was not from Pandora, storing it away for later. She was also surprised when he answered that right, this Justin. He didn’t get all weird at all about the fact that she was a Council member and even mentioned that he figured but didn’t comment because he figured she got enough of that. His next answer, however, was not one of the ones that would make him past her odd little tests. Which was oddly comforting to her. It meant that he didn’t always get her answers right.
The idea of someone getting it right scared her. Maybe Sharai was right.
He was kidding, she could tell from his tone, but all the same she kicked him in his leg, easy to do with the way that she was sitting. She was violent, she was moody, and he should know sooner rather than later that she would be likely to switch moods at the drop of a hat. It was just the way that she was. She huffed and then she answered him with a none too pleased tones. ”You should also not presume to know my just because we are matched” she grumbled. She also finally put out in the open that they both knew that they were matched.
She huffed and decided to let it go, her mood changing just like that. That was just the way that she was, and she liked it that way. Most people were discouraged by it, and that worked just fine for her. People who could get past it were the people who spent the night with her, usually in her bed. He flirted and she called him cute, and then she mentioned that she thought he was more than cute as long as she could sketch him. He said he wasn’t bored of her in response and she simply smirked, as if she had been expecting that. That was one complaint she never got, that people thought she was boring.
She tilted her head when he said only if she would draw his good side. Well if he was going to flirt and tease…why not. ”I shall have to do two sketches, then, to get both sides” she said with a slight wink, deciding she could flirt right on back if she liked. It wasn’t rare, not for her, she had just been refraining for now because…well…he was her match. She refused to give in. That was the way that she was, simply, the way that she was.
She simply rolled her eyes though when he told her that it was supposed to be a secret. Secret her pretty round ass. Every guy, no matter how much they pretended to be a proper gentleman, would do the same. And se didn’t mean to her, she meant in general, to any good looking chick. It was just the way men were, and honestly? It didn’t bother her much. That was why she hadn’t been aggravated in the slightest, and just waited for him to catch up with her to go onto the dance floor and dance it up. She was happy with the idea of being able to see how well he could move, that was always an indicator for her after all.
She was surprised, however, when he didn’t let go of her after she gave him that look. She had pegged him for the tight that would just let go when she gave him a look. Well, in the back of her head she thought, good for him. She would have eaten him up and spit him ot otherwise knowing her, she thought with a sly little grin. She liked a challenge anyway, it made it all so much more fun when it came down to it. She would let him have this one little victory and lead her to the spot, if it meant that they would get down to dancing faster. Nixie very much so approved of dancing, it was a better way to test people in a way. How he moved…well it would indicate other things. And she would be very happy if it indicated good things.
She shivered at the way that he touched her marks, loving the way that they hummed against her skins every time someone touched her there. When he returned his hands back down to her waist, she shifted herself as well, so that she could wrap hr arms around his shoulders as best as she could manage. She just wanted to get herself closer and see how he would respond to that. And she definitely approved when he got closer and trailed his hands along her sides. She most certainly approved.
Enough so that when the music got faster, she shifted herself so that she was facing him, and loped her arms loosely around his shoulders once more. She didn’t press herself against him, no, that was something that she wondered if he would do, another little test of sorts. All the same, she was close enough, just a breath away, and she never stopped her moving. Nixie, amusement shining clearly in her eyes, looked up at him, a cocky little smirk teasing and hinting on her lips as she did. His move…she wondered what he would make of it.

Justin Flyte
Hasn’t anybody told you to sit back and breathe? You can’t be living life like a loaded gun, Sing out, sing out, Things can only get better!
.xXx. Justin wasn’t entirely sure as to why the conversation between the two seemed to be so amusing, but he wasn’t complaining either way. It generally took a lot to keep him entertained with someone, being how hyper and outgoing he was, and yet, with Nixie, he felt no need whatsoever to move on to someone else. She wasn’t his usual happy go-lucky, rambunctious girl, but let me tell you, he was just as equally satisfied, if not more, with their conversation. He was interested, there was no doubt there, but he was having difficulty trying to decide whether it was mostly due to the fact she was his match or not. He had a feeling that could be part of it, but then again, he’d picked her out of the crowd before he knew she was his match, didn’t he? That had to count for something. Justin was brought out of his thoughts rather abruptly, feeling a sharp pain spread through the length of his shin. Ow. Shit. She’d kicked him. She’d actually kicked him. And it hurt like a motherfucker. Justin let out a small laugh, more out of pain then anything, his hand instinctively reaching down to grasp his stinging leg. He tried to frown, he really did, but for some reason or another all he could muster up was an amused little smirk. He released his leg after a moment, letting it fall back to it’s previous position, before looking back towards her with a raised brow, his expression full of stifled amusement. He tilted his head slightly at her words, before leaning back into his chair, once again resting his elbow on the back. “I was only kidding, no reason to beat me for it.” He said with a grin, accompanied by a small nod. “I have a feeling it’ll take a little longer than a few minutes to have you completely figured out.” He added, his grin growing slightly, choosing not to comment on the fact she was the first one to mention out loud that they were matched. He didn’t really feel the need to, for reasons he wasn’t quite sure of. No need to dwell on it, right? I mean, it’s not like the two were in love; they’d just met. They had no reason to sit around and talk about their feelings, yet. Heh, yet. Justin almost smirked, before Nixie said she might upgrade him to handsome, if he’d let her sketch him. He responded in a rather teasing manner, not even somewhat put off by her sudden change of mood. Women were women, and you either dealt with that fact they wouldn’t change or moved on. Justin had learned long ago not to question them, or their mood swings, for that matter. Her reply was somewhat flirtatious, and Justin would certainly admit he was definitely glad for that. He just... wouldn’t say it out loud. “Awwe how cute, she flirts.” He said with a wicked grin, using her earlier statement against her with a little returned wink. He couldn’t help it, plus he was pretty much totally relaxed right now. Eager to dance and party it up a little bit, but still relaxed. He could never flirt so easily if he wasn’t relaxed, after all. It was just how Justin was. After the man had jogged up to her side he smirked at the eye-roll she gave to his rather youthful, immature comment, and raised a brow in slight question. But, soon enough, he changed his focus to entering the crowd before the two, and slipped his arm around her waist, just lightly, in order to help guide her through the crowd. And, yes, he was quite aware of the fact she wasn’t too happy with it. But, she hadn’t kicked him yet for it, right? Right. Justin smirked at the thought, before the two quickly found a suitable spot, and began dancing. They started out like most acquaintances would, keeping a close but fair distance away, though Justin took the liberty of placing his hands on her hips, in order to feel her work beneath his hands. He did, however, lift a hand to momentarily brush his thumb along her tattoo, enjoying the delicious little shiver he received from her for the movement, before dropping his hand back to her hip with a barely noticeable smirk. It was when the woman moved to drape her arms lightly over his shoulders, therefore brushing up against him, that Justin felt his smirk expand into an obviously approving grin. He was male; of course he enjoyed some touchy dancing, here and there. He moved closer to her in response, pressing more firmly against her own body, before letting his hands begin to trail lightly down her sides. It was when the music grew quicker, the bass thudding within Justin’s chest, in which Nixie chose to turn, successfully causing Justin’s brow to rise out of slight curiosity and anticipation. She moved very fluidly to the beat of the song, there was no denying that, and as she turned to face him, arms once again wrapping loosely around his shoulders, Justin felt the amused little grin settle across his features once more. Her own expression was undeniably cocky, and Justin found himself holding back a chuckle as he watched her smirk. It wasn’t usual for him to be close to laughter while dancing was it? He blamed the fact that he was oddly comfortable, currently. He was just... content. The man watched her for a moment with discreetly hungry eyes, their growing closeness definitely not going unnoticed. His hands once more found her small waist after mere moments, and as she smirked up at him, Justin moved to successfully close the space between the two, pressing up against her somewhat lightly. He made an effort to move as smoothly with her as possible, his expression then shifting into one of daring; a challenge. What would she come back with? His grip on her hips tightened slightly, though not so much as to be restricting, as he leaned forwards, his lips lingering near her ear. “Nice to meet you, by the way.” He said slowly, yet another wicked grin curving his lips. He was amused, having fun, and with a girl that was pretty fricken attractive who, it just so happened, was his match. How lucky could one guy get? We’re bound to make a change, Take some time to hold somebody! Leat go of fear and all your heartache, Learn to laugh, and learn to cry! Words: 1, 149 Muse: Was here... then ran away. Nixie would be sorry for kicking him, if she felt like it. Which she didn’t. She had mood swung, this was true, but it was also because he had assumed to know her just like everyone else even if he was only teasing her. For some reason that just plain didn’t matter to her in that moment. She wasn’t always sure why she reacted the way that she did, she just knew that that was the way that she’d react. The only reason that she would bother to feel bad would be because they were matches.
And if anything, she saw that as a reason to be harder on him. If they were “destined” to be with each other forever and all that bullshit, why not be harder on him? It made more sense to her. It would show that he couldn’t walk all over her and all that and had to learn how to deal with her mood swings. Not that she really thought he would walk all over her at all. He didn’t seem the type. But Nixie had dealt with other people who “didn’t seem the type” and they had ended up trying to own her basically and try to tell her what to do.
So she wasn’t taking any chances.
He laughed and she blinked, being that she had no idea why he was laughing. He grabbed the leg in question, which seemed like a more normal reaction, and smirked at her all amused. Now why was he doing that? That was such a weird reaction and she couldn’t figure it out at all. She tilted her head slightly, causing a cascade of silky dark hair to fall over one shoulder and studied him with perplexed dark blue eyes. He let go of the leg and leaned back but still seemed amused. Why was he so damned amused? And was it bad that she wanted to kick him again just to see if he had the same reaction?
She shook her head and looked at him as he accused her of beating him, a small smirk playing on her lips as he continued to say that he thought it took more than that to figure her out. She sat back in her chair slightly before answering him. ”Well I would certainly hope so. I work hard at being unreadable” she said, smirking at him. It was true, though, she did. She didn’t like the idea of anyone figuring her out right away. The idea scared her more than anything. It had been a good tactic to have when she was on her own, and even still as a Council member it was an even better idea to have in her opinion. It kept her safe just as much as Marco did.
He had laughed, and Nixie being the person that she was commented on it, and saying that she’d like to sketch him if she could, of course being herself she didn’t put it that way, but all the same she had basically said that out loud. He had commented saying only if she sketched his good side and she had flirted. He commented, returning back her earlier statement back on her, in the same tease she had used and she narrowed her eyes at him, obviously looking like she was debating kicking him again.
But at the same time, the wheels in her head were turning. He could keep up with her. And he had been consecutively throughout this conversation. He had not gotten offended by her, he hadn’t ran away even when she kicked him and on top of that he was teasing her right back despite knowing about her status as a council member which not many men, honestly, had the balls to do to her anymore. She was utterly confused about this but if she was going to be serious, it also turned her on. And scared the hell out of her. SO many things at once. But it was because…she wasn’t used to anyone being able to do that!
She was distracted from really answering him, though, by his offer to dance. They had their cute little flirty exchange which gained him more points in Nixie’s book before he loped his hand around her waist and led her through the dance floor. See that, that she wasn’t ecstatic about but what could she do except glare at him? And then be surprised entirely when he kept his hand there anyway in a sort of challenge to be honest. She wasn’t used to that, but perhaps she liked it. She wasn’t, to be honest, too sure one way or the other just yet. She shook her head and let him lead this one time…because she had no intentions of letting him lead again.
It was just the stubborn way that she was to be honest.
They found their own rhythm in the section of the dance floor that he had led her to and she easily, and happily, fell into the rhythm he created before swinging it her own way and seeing if he could keep up with her, and being happily surprised when he could. What was it about him that let him keep passing her little tests? It was confusing the hell out of her and she couldn’t figre out why. But for right now she simply let herself fall into the dance instead, letting the beat of the music and the body against hers lead her, even when he made her shiver by touching her mark.
She spun after he did that, loping her arms around his shoulders but not moving closer to him, she left that to him as a sort of challenge in order to see what he would do about this new little development of theirs. She was cocky about it, and it showed on her face, something that made him amused if she could tell right. She was a little surprised when he closed the distance, but applauded the bold move, and that showed on her face as well, the music was too loud to really be talking and she would so much rather her body do the talking with her hips swinging against his just the way that she liked…
He leaned forward and she paused a moment in curiousity, not that it ever showed in her movements, but she herself paused. And then he spoke and, the words shocked her into laughter, pure and clear. She shook her head, amused, and while he was still close, whispered back. ”You too” She applauded him in his daring moves in this little round of his turn. But that meant that it was her turn.
And she had a feeling she would be bolder.
She smirked a bit at him, amused, and decided to try something that she wasn’t sure he could handle, just to see if he could…part of him wanted her to answer a question wrong or move the wrong way, and the other part lamented at the idea. It was a confusing feeling. But there was nothing confusing about what she intended to do. She leaned forward and brushed her lips against his in something that could hardly be described as a kiss because it was too brief for that, but she whispered softly against them: ”So nice” before pulling away.
Your move, she thought, cocky and amused.
Perhaps pride was just another of her sins

Justin Flyte
Hasn’t anybody told you to sit back and breathe? You can’t be living life like a loaded gun, Sing out, sing out, Things can only get better!
.xXx. Slowly but surely, Justin was starting to get a little bit of an idea about Nixie’s personality. No, he wasn’t going to be an asshole and say he knew her because that turned out in him having a super shore shin last time, but he would admit that he was starting to understand her. It wasn’t like she was laying out her personality on a platter or any such shit, but Justin was just paying very close attention. She was his match, after all. He oughta pay attention to the details, don’t you think? So far he knew she liked to sketch, she was definitely a flirt, she was a tad cocky (though, not in a bad way), and she was not a girl that could be walked over very easily. Like, at all. Justin had a small idea about the things she did to guys that tried to walk over her. Let’s just say he imagined her kicking them. But in way, way worse places then a shin. Justin came close to shuddering at the very thought of it.
He didn’t consider himself controlling in the least, so that was pretty good. Sure, he would challenge and tease, but he would never go around barking orders at people, expecting them to scurry off obediently with their tails between their legs. He saw most people as equals, and that usually led him to treating them with the utmost respect. Unless they did something to change his views on them, that is. Then? All respect lost. Justin was trusting to begin with, but when someone fucked with that trust, he wasn’t likely to forgive them too easily. But, that was beside the point. Justin needed to focus on the here and now—which included the way Nixie was currently staring at him, looking rather confused. He figured she was confused as to why he was laughing, but then again, not many people laughed when they were in pain. She probably expected a wave of muttered cusses and writhing around in pain. Hah, no. Justin did that enough as it was, without being hurt. It only makes sense for him to do the opposite, when he does get injured. After Justin had dropped his leg and leaned back into his chair, no longer in pain, Nixie spoke, confirming his thoughts about her being hard to figure out. His lips curved into another amused little grin as he watched her, taking a moment before responding. “Well just for the record, you’re doing a bang-up job.” He said with a small, breathless chuckle, before speaking once again. “I mean, I would never have expected you to be the abusive type.” He added with another small, teasing little smirk, before the two began their small, flirtatious little banter. She narrowed her eyes at his latest remark, using her earlier statement against her, and for a moment, Justin once again feared for his shins. He almost paused, almost, until they continued conversation, and he was sure he would be unscathed. At least until he chose to see how far he could push his limits, again. He didn’t know why he did it, hell, it aggravated some people so, so bad. But he loved it. Justin lived in the moment, and no matter how hard he tried to resist, he could never settle for average. He always loved to push, be it in his career, or with people. He was a risk-taker. I mean, he didn’t have much to lose but himself, so why not? Seemed fine in Justin’s head. In fact, it seemed like one hell of a fucking grand plan. Another flirty exchange and a daring arm-around-waist manoeuvre later, the two made their way out onto the dance floor without too much trouble. Justin knew very well he’d pushed the limits again, or rather challenged her very discreetly, in keeping his arm around her tiny waist. But he had his reasons, didn’t he? It’s not like he was about to let her get pumbled by some drunken fist-pumping morons. Justin was, in a way, protective of her. Already. It wasn’t abnormal for him to be, though. Everyone he came across he almost immediately wanted to keep safe, no matter how recently of an acquaintance. Wasn’t it human nature, to want to keep the people you don’t hate with a passion safe? Justin hoped so. It didn’t take long for the two to fall into a very fluid rhythm while dancing, nor did it take long for the two to start testing one another. They weren’t playing your average mind-game with one another, but instead, were testing to see how far the other would go. Yeah, it pretty much owned Monopoly. They took turns intensifying the dance, Nixie taking lead by turning to face him, and looping her arms loosely around his shoulders. It was a familiar enough action, and so it was only instinct for Justin to press himself up against her in response, letting his body arch in to meet hers. She seemed to highly approve of this action, and Justin smirked victoriously in response, sending her a small wink to show his amusement. She definitely wasn’t the only one enjoying this. Not. At. All.
It was as Justin leaned in, his lips almost brushing against her ear, that he spoke, a grin threatening to spread across his lips with his silly words. He was poking fun, he always did, in attempt to lighten the mood. Justin didn’t give a shit as to if the mood needed lightening, to be quite frank, but he always flourished in making others laugh. What wasn’t great about laughing on the dance floor? Not only did it make the experience flirty, but silly, too. Which, in case you hadn’t noticed, definitely worked for Justin. She whispered back to him, amusement written across her expression still, and Justin pulled back again, nodding vigorously with another small laugh. He knew very well it was her turn now, and turned his attention back to keeping the two in perfect unison, his expression sobering to leave just his previous amused, challenging smirk. It wasn’t a moment later though, that the woman before Justin leaned in, her lips brushing unexpectedly against his own in what he considered to be quite the damn tease. He leaned into her instinctively, unable to help it, and his brow furrowed, just slightly, when she pulled back, leaving him completely confused. His jaw tightened as another smirk slid upon his expression, a look that obviously said “Oh no you did not,” displayed from the amused tightness of his facial features. He let out another breathless chuckle, before tilting his head and leaning forwards to let his lips hover nearby her ear once again. It was going to get pretty fucking hard not to get overwhelmed with her cheating like that. Really mother-fucking hard. Ugh. His hands snuck further down her sides, slowly beginning to curve around her hips to land in the small of her back, as he spoke. “If that isn’t cheating, nothing is.” He murmured with another small chuckle, amusement clear in his voice, as his hands, now in the small of her back, continued to snake downwards slowly. If she was going to cheat, why shouldn’t he? Justin kept himself close to her, and dipped to brush his lips briefly against her neck in a movement he knew most women tended to adore. He pulled back after a moment though, sure not to take things too far, much like she had decided to with her partial-kiss. Justin was usually more timid around women, but for one reason or another, Nixie was bringing out his more rambunctious side. It didn’t really help that they were matches and in a club, either. Justin tried to keep himself in check though, he really did. I mean, he didn’t want to give the impression that he wanted to screw right here and now, right? The chase was half the fun after all, wasn’t it? He shook the question off as the song changed and quickened again, not bothering to move away from her. He very much liked this new closeness, thanks. He liked it so much, in fact, he didn’t know if he could separate from her if he tried. Justin blamed her cheating. We’re bound to make a change, Take some time to hold somebody! Leat go of fear and all your heartache, Learn to laugh, and learn to cry!

He was laughing. She had kicked him and he was laughing. What type of odd job had Aphrodite decided to pair her with? Maybe she had done something in her life to make someone up there thing she deserved an insane match. Or perhaps it could just be that she was abusive and someone who reacted badly to pain would not be a good idea. She wasn’t sure what the reasoning was behind this, she was sure that it was slightly insane and it confused the hell out of her. What person laughed after being kicked? And then he sat back like nothing had happened. It almost made her debate about kicking him again.
What he said, in response to her being unreadable, saved his life. Or at least his shins. She grinned a bit when he said that she was doing a bang up job at it. ”I know” she said with confidence before he continued. And the next statement made her roll her eyes at him. That was a tad dramatic, wasn’t it? Calling her abusive. She preferred just. She shook her head and leaned against the bad slightly. ”I’m not abusive. I just kick. And only when I think someone deserves it” and in Nixie’s head, this was completely reasonable. If someone deserved it, she saw nothing wrong with kicking them. Usually in worse places than the shin.
They were flirting though, harmlessly, but still it was flirting. And that was a good sign, wasn’t it? Not that Nixie wasn’t a flirt. Even if there was slight Angelli in her blood to give her her—however dark—blue eyes, she still was prominently a Shade. And her sin, as a shade, was most certainly Lust. And she knew it. She adored it and she ate it up. It meant she was a good flirt, and she knew she was damn good in bed, so why not? Sure Nixie was a bit cocky, but she was never confident about something she couldn’t back up with her actions. So she thought there was nothing wrong with the fact that she believed in herself. It was better than being an attention whore who always begged for compliments in her opinion.
But the flirting was good, as far as she could tell, it meant that they were getting along, didn’t it? And that was a good thing. Considering that they were stuck together whether they wanted to be or not, and all. It would be a good idea for it to be a wanted it, rather than a not. She grinned a little at her own inward thoughts. She thought she was so clever. Fuck, she knew she was so clever. Okay, so that was a little bit over confident but oh well, it was in her own head and no one around her could hear it. That was her gift, and anyone else with it couldn’t use it on her. Oh the perks of being who she was. Not.
Their flirting banter led them to agreeing to head to the dance floor together, which was something that Nixie was completely all for. Even if he seemed to think that he could put his hand around her waist like that and guide her through the crowd. She had narrowed her eyes up at him but wen he hadn’t removed the hand she had let it go, slightly impressed with him for standing his ground and all that. If he kept passing all her little challenges she was going to freak out. No one passed all her little challenges, that was the point of her having all her little challenges. It was to keep people as far away from her as she could manage. She didn’t know what she would do if she perhaps had to let one in….
She shook her head and focused solely on moving in time with him and with the music that filled the air all around them both. He touched her Marks which made her shiver and then, in response, she had turned towards him. Without it being her intention at all, this dance of theirs had turned into a bit of a contest. And she loved it.
He pulled her in closer after she turned to face him, loping her arms around his neck playfully, and she fully approved of the move, keeping her hips swinging in time with his and just staying with the movement, fully amused with it all. Even when he whispered in her ear, she found it all fun, all of it inticing. And it was points in his favor which was a good thing if he was going to be stuck with Nixie for the rest of his life. Points were always a plus and something that one should want with her.
In response she had brushed her lips to his ever so softly, it was barely a kiss at all but it was enough to raise her own hunger and—she hoped—his as well. She was amused by his expression when she pulled away and laughed again, not sure how long it had been since she had laughed this often. Usually it was very hard to make Nixie laugh and this boy had done it twice in a row. That was some serious points to him and, to be honest, it scared her to be giving him this many points. She was afraid it would make her run away.
She approved when he shifted his hands though, loving the feel of them on her body. If they could stick to that and steer away from emotions and points and getting closer in any form of lovey manner, she would be perfectly fine.
He called her a cheat and she shook her head, fully amused. They had never laid down any rules, so it wasn’t possible for her to cheat, now was it? She could do anything she liked in this little game. She didn’t want ot play with rules, she wanted to do as she pleased. He brushed his lips against her neck and she hummed her approval at the touch. She was one of those women who could get seriously turned on by that, and just a brush was no fair. She guessed she’d just have to “cheat” again. And do something that wasn’t expected. But that was Nixie’s favorite way to play!
So instead of getting closer, she pulled away. To dance by herself in that little space they had created for themselves, she arched her arms above her head, bending them slightly in a way that she knew showed off her slim little body and closed her eyes before dancing happily with herself, seeing if she could get more attention than just his. It was unexpected and it amused her, to see how he’d react to her pulling away and possibly getting the attention of others around them…
No one ever said she played fair.

A girl stood, watching -- hoping.
Two figures danced, their bodies moving in fluid motion. They fit, together; almost like a puzzle. Exactly like a puzzle. The girl, twirling an unnaturally bright blonde hair around her finger, pouted.
She didn't approve.
Some slut was stealing her man.
They continued to dance, the air between the two becoming dangerously narrow. Their lips brushed -- how dare she -- and the girl's emerald eyes widened, pink lips dropping to a surprised 'o'. Who was she? This wasn't fair! She saw him first! This wasn't fair!
She thought of it as love at first sight. He didn't know her name, but she knew his. He didn't know she existed, but my god, did she know of him. It had been a year ago since she first met Justin at Lumino, when he had been working. Their fingers had touched. He had smiled at her.
Yes.
It was love at first sight.
Suddenly, the two figures broke apart. The dark haired girl had pulled away, before dancing by herself. She grinned. Yes, she thought, know your place.
The Angelli walked briskly over to the boy, brushing past the dark haired girl with force, before slipping her arms behind his neck, exerting confidence. She was wearing that short, black dress; she was ready.
It was time for her confession.
Glancing back at the dark haired girl, she smirked, before looking back at her love, eyes wide with admiration. She brought herself closer to his body, excitement tingling down her stomach. She paused, before speaking; a soft murmur.
"Can we dance?"
She looked into his eyes, hopeful.
He would say yes; of course he would. He had to.
It was love at first sight.

Hasn’t anybody told you to sit back and breathe? You can’t be living life like a loaded gun, Sing out, sing out, Things can only get better!
.xXx. Justin didn’t know why he got such a kick out of confusing people, but either way, it didn’t change the fact he really, truly did. The look on Nixie’s expression was absolutely priceless as he reclined back into his seat, after having suffered through a sharp kick in the shin. She was confused, there was no doubt about it, but there was also an aspect of her expression that made Justin question the fact that he’d pronounced his shins as safe. She looked awfully close to kicking him again, so you can only imagine the man’s great relief when she seemed to move on, replying to his comment about how she was doing quite the bang-up job in keeping herself hard to figure out. And hell yeah, he meant it. Not many girls looked the way she did, flirted the way she did, only to kick you in the shin a second later. Ugh, women. Justin smirked slightly at her somewhat cocky answer, before continuing on to call her abusive. He was only teasing, something Justin did far too often, and by the way she shook her head and leaned back into the chair, he had a feeling she knew this. Hopefully. People that hung around Justin shouldn’t ever really take things to heart; not unless he was pissed. Nixie’s reply to the comment caused a small chuckle to escape from Justin, before he tilted his head, amusement in his eyes. “Remind me not to joke around you anymore.” He said easily, his voice playful and statement completely joking, thus contradicting his entire point. Justin loved to prod and tease, but he generally understood when enough was enough. His aim wasn’t to annoy people by his teasing, but amuse them. The second it went too far, Justin always stopped. He was a good-natured man, not someone who enjoyed mocking others without reason. He hoped somewhat desperately she was aware of this fact. Justin wasn’t always as outgoing and flirtatious as he was being currently, and despite trying to ignore the fact, he couldn’t exactly wrap his head around why. Flirting was a good sign anyways though, wasn’t it? It meant they were on the same page, and totally not trying to murder each other. Which was, in Justin’s books, a very, very good thing. He hoped they’d stay in each other’s good books for as long as possible. I mean, they were matches after all, right? It wasn’t long until the two had both agreed to dance and began heading out to the floor, Justin slipping his arm lightly around her waist in order to do so. He was pushing his limits just a little bit, and he knew it, but Nixie seemed in a content-enough mood to put up with it for the time being. He’d figured her to be the type of woman you couldn’t walk over, and he had a strange, strange feeling he’d been right. Justin didn’t count on winning again anytime soon.
The two moved in almost perfect unison; shifting to further their closeness, and turning the dance into somewhat of a competitive, teasing game. But, no matter how heated their little dance got, it still remained completely fun. And that, right there, is what caught Justin’s attention. He could get seriously turned on by a woman that didn’t always take things so seriously, and could let loose and laugh in a serious situation. And, wasn’t that what they were doing? They were dancing and flirting, and yet, the two were laughing. And Justin absolutely loved it.
The woman had turned towards him to loop her arms loosely around his shoulders, and in complete instincts, Justin had responded by closing the distance between their moving bodies, therefore forcing them to move together very, very carefully. It wasn’t hard, and Justin would certainly admit, he was rather enjoying the lack of personal space at the moment. He let his hands roam down around her slender frame, only as she leaned forwards to brush her lips against his own in a movement that successfully confused (and thrilled) Justin. He leaned into her instinctively, and when she pulled away once more, proceeded to lean forwards and call her a cheat, his lips then brushing softly against her heated neck. Nixie responded very much like he’d hoped, humming her approval to him, and it took Justin a serious amount of control to pull back again. He watched her with hungry eyes, enjoying their closeness more then he knew he should, all before Nixie pulled away, successfully stunning Justin. He paused, the loss of contact somewhat painful, before his brows shot up as she began to dance, showing off her slim, fit body far too expertly. The man’s jaw flexed once again as he watched her, before his light, blue eyes flickered towards the nearest unaccompanied male, who was also watching her with interested, shocked eyes. Justin watched the man steadily, his lips pursing into a thin line, all until the moron caught sight of his stone-cold glare. He wouldn’t let his partner be stolen from him; not tonight. If only looks could kill. It was after the man had raised a brow at Justin and backed off, that he returned his glance back towards Nixie, just as another, blonde, woman pushed past her. What the hell? The girl then proceeded to come and loop her arms around Justin’s neck in a rather forward, out-there action, thus causing both of his brows to shoot up in surprise. He was vitally aware of her sudden closeness, and although Justin found the girl attractive, he was here, dancing with Nixie. Hell, she was his match. Never would Justin be so rude as to ditch her for another chick. He stood still as she moved closer, looking up at him with hopeful, intense eyes. Never had he been approached like this, before. Justin kept his hands to himself, and glanced over the woman’s head towards Nixie, his air completely different when around this new woman. He felt a little bad for the interruption, actually. And of course, there was the part of him that feared some man might take the liberty to claim Nixie while he was politely declining this new person. Not going to fucking happen. Only when the stranger spoke, did Justin offer an apologetic smile and shake his head lightly, pretending he wasn’t about ready to brush past her and go back to Nixie. “I’m actually here with someone... Sorry.” He said, before awkwardly un-entwining himself from the woman, and offering her another small smile. His gaze flickered towards Nixie as he made his way back towards her, looking over his shoulder at the woman briefly, before shrugging. “That’s kinda awkward. Sorry.” He said with a small apologetic smirk, before raising a brow at her with a grin. “So, I’m thinking we either get out of here, or continue like nothing happened. Your call.” He asked easily, his grin unfaltering. He was excited for her answer, and had a feeling that no matter what she chose, the night would be hella fun. We’re bound to make a change, Take some time to hold somebody! Leat go of fear and all your heartache, Learn to laugh, and learn to cry!
